Back of photo caption: Winter-wonderland. Hokkaido. Land of snow which never melts from December to end of March. Snows come and go from end of October till early December, then comes the “nay-you-kee” (root snow) which stay all winter. Very beautiful. Powder dry. Come up and see up sometime. Sapporo March ’50.
