Back of photo caption: A group of girls from the Yokohama school for fallen girls. These girls are assigned to this school by court order, and there they are reeducated to take their proper place in society. Part of their training includes Christian instruction, conducted by members of Izumi Lutheran Congregation, Yokohama. The young man on the left is a prospective seminary student. The two young girls in the right rear are two of the more energetic members of Izumi congregation. The gentleman on the right is the superintendent of the school. These young ladies are learning the true meaning of “Izumi,” “Living Waters.”
